Tips for requesting a work reference
As an employee, you have a right to receive a work reference at any time – both during and after your working relationship. The limitation period is ten years. If the content of the reference is incomplete, ambiguous, or violates other principles applicable to references, such as the duty of truthfulness, you are entitled to have it corrected.
